Join Hedland's Youth Advisory Council!

The Youth Advisory Council, established by the Town of Port Hedland, provides a platform to empower young people on the matters important to them.

We are looking for people with the following qualities, interests and backgrounds:

• aged between 15 and 24 years
• live within the Town of Port Hedland
• be involved in the local community, for example involved in sporting clubs, community groups or volunteering
• have an interest in wellbeing, community services youth events and activities, leadership and helping other young people in the community
• have the ability to work in a team, respect others and participate in group discussions as well as working independently
• have an ability to think about the big picture
• bring motivation, willingness, and commitment to participate on an ongoing basis
• be willing to be actively involved in conversations and contribute to discussions in a variety of environments and platforms
• prepared to undertake some training
